Horse oil resembles the composition of the thin acidic lipid layer that coats the topmost layers of our skin and is able to absorb quickly to penetrate the skin, adding sustained moisture.  It has healing benefits because it contains a large amount of linoleic acid which has been rated a "cell-communicating" ingredient, helping cells to regulate and perform their normal functions.
